3 Why this exists
It is evidence
Under the Electronic Commerce Act 2006 an electronic record is admissible, and the Evidence Act 1950 gives computer-produced documents their weight. This log is what makes that argument in practice.
It protects the agent
If a client later says “I never agreed to that fee”, the log shows exactly what was shown to them, when they opened it, and what they signed.
It survives disputes
Each row carries a fingerprint computed from the row before it. Change one character in an old entry and the chain breaks visibly — that is the point.
